As a person who loves bullet journaling, there are essential bullet journal supplies that are absolutely necessary whenever I pull out my journal to make a new spread. So here is the list of my top five supplies for bullet journaling!
1. A Bullet Journal
First, the most important thing that I need to bullet journal is the journal itself!
In the past, I’ve used bullet journals from Michael’s, but recently, I switched over to using a spiral bound one that I found on Amazon!
So far there hasn’t been any bleeding at all, but some minor ghosting.
2. Microns
Next, are microns!
Microns are an absolute necessity for all of the outlining and heading writing that I do for bullet journaling.
I use a mix of different liners, but the main ones that I use are the Sakura Pigma Microns! My favorites are the PN ones! Because of the special nibs, I don’t have to worry too much about ruining the tip!
3. Highlighters and Markers
This one could be a bit debatable, but I find that a highlighter or a brush marker/pen is quite essential.
I’m definitely more on the doodling side of bullet journaling, and I love having some kind of pop of color! I also like having some brush lettering for titles.
For highlighters, I’ve been using the Zebra Mildliners, while for brush markers/pens, I use the Tombow brush markers, and the Pentel brush tip pens.
The Tombow markers help when it comes to coloring in doodles, or filling a full page with a quote. The nib is much bigger than those of the Pentel pens, which I mostly use for titles.
4. Gel Pen
Next, gel pens.
Mostly, I use gel pens for a small color accents, or after the spreads are fully complete.
With a black gel pen, I’ll fill in my weekly spread task lists, or complete gratitude and one sentence a day spreads.
My favorite gel pens at the moment are Pentel Energel 0.7 pens, Poppin gel pens, and the Muji 0.38 gel pens.
5. A Ruler/Stencil
Finally, the last thing that I need is a ruler or a stencil.
These might not be essential all of the time, but they definitely come in handy when it comes to spread set up at the beginning of each month!
A ruler aids in getting perfectly straight lines for my month spread. While, the stencils help me keep certain shapes consistent throughout all of the set up!
As for what particular thing I use, really any kind of ruler I have available, and a stencil with circles, squares, and hexagons!
And that wraps up the list of my top five supplies for bullet journaling!
I hope that this was in some way entertaining or helpful when it comes to finding your own essential bullet journal supplies! Let me know what your favorite bullet journal or stationary supply is!
